About Sapphire Holdings

Is Sapphire Holdings a lender?
No. Sapphire Holdings is not a bank, direct lender, or government agency. We help businesses explore financing options, prepare loan packages, and connect with appropriate lending sources. Lenders make all credit decisions.
Are you affiliated with the U.S. Small Business Administration?
No. Sapphire Holdings is not affiliated with or endorsed by the SBA. SBA-guaranteed loans are made by SBA-participating lenders.
Where do you work with businesses?
We are based in Georgia and work with businesses across the United States where we are legally authorized to do so.
How is Sapphire Holdings compensated?
[Placeholder: describe your fee structure here.] Any fee paid to Sapphire Holdings in connection with an SBA-guaranteed loan will be disclosed to you in writing in advance and reported on SBA Form 159 (Fee Disclosure and Compensation Agreement), as SBA rules require.

The financing process

Can you guarantee I will be approved?
No one can guarantee approval except the lender itself, after its own review. We help you present a complete, organized request, but the lender independently determines eligibility, rates, terms, and approval.
Does submitting a financing review affect my credit?
No. Our financing review form does not request your Social Security number and does not involve a credit inquiry. Lenders may request authorization for a credit report later in their own process.
How long does the process take?
Timelines vary by lender, program, and the complexity of the request. Having complete documentation from the start is one of the most effective ways to avoid avoidable delays.
What documents will I need?
Lenders commonly request business and personal tax returns, interim financial statements, a debt schedule, a personal financial statement, and documentation supporting the use of proceeds. We provide a tailored checklist once we understand your request.
How do I send documents securely?
Please do not email or upload sensitive documents through the website. When documents are needed, we will provide a secure method for sharing them.

SBA financing

What is the difference between SBA 7(a) and SBA 504?
SBA 7(a) is a flexible, multi-purpose program that can fund acquisitions, working capital, equipment, real estate, and refinancing. SBA 504 provides long-term, fixed-rate financing for major fixed assets such as owner-occupied real estate and long-life equipment, and cannot be used for working capital.
Can I use an SBA loan to start a business?
Start-ups can be eligible for SBA financing, subject to lender requirements and SBA rules, including a required equity injection and a credible business plan.
Do I need a down payment for an SBA loan?
Equity injection requirements depend on the program and transaction. For example, SBA rules generally require at least a 10% equity injection for 7(a) start-ups and changes of ownership, and 504 projects typically require a borrower contribution of at least 10%. Lenders may require more.
